Now we are strengthening our team in northern Sweden with a service technician / engineer who wants to contribute to a safer, more reliable and sustainable energy system. Development requires courage and strength - but at ABB you are never alone.

As a service technician/engineer within UPS, you will be an important player in a team that works with technology that keeps society running. You'll work closely with customers and advanced facilities where operational reliability is crucial. You will take on commissioning, service, maintenance and troubleshooting of our UPS systems and associated DC facilities - often on site where your work makes a direct difference.

This is a role for you who thrive in a varied, practical and free workday where you combine independence with close support from colleagues and experts.

Your responsibilities

In the role, you will be responsible for:

  • Commissioning UPS systems and battery storage solutions
  • Performing both preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment in AC and DC environments
  • Assisting in quotation work and sales support, e.g. for upgrades and rebuilds. in upgrades and rebuilds
  • Possibility to be part of an emergency response team
  • Work according to ABB's values in safety, quality and integrity

Your background

To succeed in the role, we look for you to have:

  • Lower secondary education in relevant field
  • Several years of experience with 3-phase systems
  • Background as UPS technician or industrial electrician/service technician in AC/DC
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Experience with computers and measuring instruments
  • Swedish and English in speech and writing
  • B-driving license

It is meritorious if you have:

  • general electrical qualification
  • experience in PCB repair or electronics
  • experience in commissioning, testing and plant design

We are looking for you who like to work hands-on with technology and have a natural aptitude for troubleshooting, measuring and understanding systems in depth. You are a communicative, self-driven and responsible person.
