We at ABB Motor and Generator Service in the Southern Region are now looking for a dedicated service technician for our operations in Mölndal. As a service technician with us, you’ll have a permanent position in a leading organization where you’ll report directly to the workshop manager and play a central role in the business. The role involves working both at our workshop in Mölndal and on-site at our customers’ locations, which are primarily spread from Karlstad to Malmö. You’ll be responsible for servicing our refurbishment projects on-site in Mölndal, as well as traveling to customers for delivery and service. Trips are usually day trips, but some overnight stays may be required.

Your main responsibilities will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electric motors and generators, as well as upselling ABB’s other services. With your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll help ensure high operational reliability and customer satisfaction. The position involves daytime work and offers a varied and stimulating work environment where you’ll have the opportunity to develop and grow alongside us. Qualifications for the role

• Background as an electrician, industrial electrician, or equivalent mechanical experience, combined with an interest in technology. Preferably with a focus on electric motors and generators.
• Experience in repair and maintenance or industrial engineering
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Forklift and overhead crane certifications are a plus
• Experience with condition monitoring/vibration measurement is a plus
• You are creative and quick-thinking, a meticulous problem-solver who puts safety first
• You take responsibility for your work, are organized, and work both independently and well with others
• A Class B driver’s license is required, as the position involves travel
