We’re now strengthening our team in southern Sweden with a service technician/engineer who wants to contribute to a safer, more reliable, and sustainable energy system. Progress requires courage and strength—but at ABB, you’re never alone.

As a UPS service technician/engineer, you’ll be a key player on a team working with technology that keeps society running. You’ll work closely with customers and at advanced facilities where operational reliability is critical. You’ll handle commissioning, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our UPS systems and associated DC facilities—often on-site, where your work makes a direct difference.

This role is for someone who thrives in a varied, hands-on, and independent work environment where you combine autonomy with close support from colleagues and experts.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Commission UPS systems and battery storage solutions
• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in AC and DC environments
• Contribute to quote preparation and sales support, e.g., for upgrades and retrofits
• Opportunity to join an emergency response team (not currently, but may become relevant in the future)
• Work in accordance with ABB’s values regarding safety, quality, and integrity
• Contribute to increased sales through sales efforts

Your Background

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• At least a vocational college (YH) degree in a relevant field
• Several years of experience with 3-phase systems
• Background as a UPS technician or industrial electrician/service technician in AC/DC
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Proficiency with computers and measuring instruments
• Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English
• Class B driver’s license

The following are considered a plus:

• general electrical certification
• experience with PCB repairs or electronics
• experience with commissioning, testing, and facility design
• Sales background

We’re looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work with technology and has a natural aptitude for troubleshooting, taking measurements, and understanding systems in depth. You’re a communicative, self-motivated, and responsible person. You’ll help customers build a high-quality facility and drive the sales process together with the rest of the team.
