Your responsibilities

Do you want to work closely with engineering in an important role where quality, safety and collaboration are key? As a Provare at ABB, you will be part of an experienced and close-knit team responsible for ensuring that our motors and generators meet customer requirements in terms of performance, quality and safety. You will work in a technically challenging and varied role performing testing, measurement and record keeping of our customized machines. The role is an important part of our quality assurance of products used in industrial applications worldwide.

In the role of Tester, you work with final testing of our machines in close collaboration with both colleagues and customers. Your tasks include, among other things, to:

• Performing final testing including steps such as set-up, measurement, electrical testing, monitoring and troubleshooting
• Documenting test results and reporting deviations
• Collaborating with other functions such as production, engineers, production engineering and project management to ensure an efficient overall flow
• Work together with our customers who travel in from all over the world to witness our final tests
• Active work with 5S, safety and business development to improve our processes and create a good and safe working environment
• The position includes 2-shift work and weekend work when needed.

Your background

• Practical experience in electrical testing and experience working with measuring and testing equipment.
• Secondary or post-secondary education in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. You have a good technical understanding and knowledge of basic principles in electrical science.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation and electrical diagrams.
• It is meritorious if you have a license to operate a forklift, traverse and mobile work platform.
• You have good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
