Your role and responsibilities

As an HSE Specialist, you will help improve HSE performance in your area of responsibility and reinforce a culture of safety and accountability. You will support the business by applying your expertise and providing guidance on HSE issues.

You will, among other things:

  • Support and facilitate risk assessments and ensure that preventive measures are implemented
  • Contribute to the implementation and evaluation of the ABB Way Self Assessment in HSE
  • Report incidents and drive follow-up, remediation and incident investigations to identify root causes and preventive measures
  • Disseminate lessons learned and best practices within the organization
  • Monitor and report HSE targets and KPIs
  • :s
  • Support managers in their responsibilities according to applicable laws and internal requirements
  • Drive behavioral change and improvement initiatives in HSE, including participating in and leading HSE related projects
  • Ensure that the right equipment and tools are available and used correctly

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, we look for you to have:

  • Relevant education in occupational health, safety, environment or equivalent
  • Experience working in HSE
  • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with different parts of the organization
  • A structured approach and good analytical skills
