Role and responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated Tender Engineer who wants to have a key role in our project organization to grow our business in the low voltage offering. You will support the sales organization and our customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions for the modernization and maintenance of low voltage systems and substations. We are looking for someone with experience in the electric power industry who enjoys challenging projects, is responsible and creates sustainable solutions for our customers with structure and quality. You will report to the Manager Project Operations. The position is preferably located in Västerås but other locations are considered.

  • You are responsible for developing technical solutions from inquiry documents to finished tender proposals, and together with the project manager and designer, package and support the projects according to customer requirements and applicable standards.
  • You define and develop our local portfolio of low voltage products and services, focusing on long-term success for both us and our customers.
  • You contribute to increasing volume and profitability by supporting the development of marketing materials, product training and price lists.
  • You act as a technical expert and contact person towards factories in local development and adaptation of the service offering for low voltage, as well as supporting service engineers and customers in complex technical issues.
  • You work independently but are part of a skilled team with extensive contact with salespeople, customers, project managers, designers and suppliers.
  • You are committed, thorough and like to work towards set goals and deadlines.
  • You are a driven and business-minded person with the ability to combine technical expertise with customer focus and business thinking.


Your background

  • You have good technical knowledge in electrical power that you have acquired through long experience in similar roles or practical experience as e.g. service technician. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you also have a university engineering degree with a focus on electrical power.
  • You have a good technical understanding of the structure of the electrical system, especially in low voltage. Experience of ABB's products such as low-voltage circuit breakers, LSp switchgear compartments and loose groups is an advantage.
  • You have knowledge of electrical safety principles and practices.
  • You are an innovative and business-minded person with a strong drive to develop and improve technical solutions.
  • You are relationship-building and have good communication skills, both internally and externally, in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • You have a B-driving license, which is a requirement as travel is included in the service.
  • Meritatory if you have knowledge and experience of design in ElProCad and/or elMaster

ABB Electrification Service is a leading provider of aftermarket services for electrical power plants, with a focus on low and medium voltage switchgear. We are represented all over Sweden - from Gällivare to Malmö - and work closely with our customers to maximize availability, reliability and environmental performance.
