Your role and responsibilities

ABB Robotics Training Center in Västerås is now looking for a new trainer to join the team! We are looking for you who are passionate about training and technology, preferably with a pedagogical experience and a desire to develop and improve existing processes. As a robot trainer, you plan and implement teaching in ABB's robot systems for both our internal and external customers. It is everything from operator training to in-depth courses for customers with extensive robot experience in both electrical and mechanical service.

Robotics Training Center is an important part of our event and knowledge center Experience Center at Finnslätten in Västerås.

In the role you will report to the Training Manager

Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare training material and equipment
  • Deliver training courses in accordance with our global training material for our existing robot systems, in both electrical and mechanical. Courses both at the Robotics Training Center in Västerås and on site at customers in Sweden.
  • Ensure that all participants get the most out of the course
  • Promote the Experience Center in daily work and also at events.
  • Collaborate with other parts of our Training Center.

Your background

  • High school education in the basics, together with a post-secondary education in electricity or mechanics, or comparable experience in the field.
  • You can read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams.
  • Previous robotics experience and some programming knowledge are meritorious.
  • Good habit of meeting customers, which is a large and significant part of your daily work.
  • Social ability that easily makes contacts and likes to socialize with new people.
  • You have a good pedagogical ability to motivate, inspire, coach and develop your students.
  • You are curious and thrive in changing environments, and have a strong ability to plan and organize.
  • You easily see new opportunities and solutions.
  • You master Swedish and English well, both in speech and in writing.
