Job Description

Would you like to help develop the products and technical solutions of the future? Are you a creative problem-solver with an interest in design and product development? Then you might be the design engineer we’re looking for.

As a mechanical design engineer, you’ll work on the development, design, and improvement of mechanical products and systems. You’ll be responsible for all or parts of the design process, from idea and concept through to the finished product and production launch.

You’ll work closely with colleagues in project management, production, purchasing, and quality to ensure functional, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions.

As a consultant with us, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments where no two days are alike.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and development of mechanical products and machine components
• Creation of 3D models and CAD drawings
• Technical documentation and specifications
• Participation in product development and improvement projects
• Collaboration with suppliers, production, and customers
• Conducting technical analyses, tests, and verifications
• Contributing to the standardization and streamlining of design work

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing
• Hands-on experience from manufacturing operations
• Proficiency in CAD tools, such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or CATIA
• Ability to read and create technical drawings
• Knowledge of FMEA/PFMEA, APQP
• Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to commute for some time, as our customers are spread out. Daily commuting and, in some cases, weekly commuting

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in product development within the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of FEM calculations
• Experience with project work
