Do you want to work with PLC programming and/or electrical design in the food industry - at one of Sweden's leading engineering and design companies? Are you also unpretentious, social and enjoy working in a team?

The Food business area at AFRY is characterized by long industry experience and high competence in project management, process design, plant design, automation and quality assurance. As one of AFRY's strategically selected segments, Food is an area that we focus on globally.

Our business concept is to both manage and further develop our project business and our end-to-end solutions. We are in a strong growth phase and continue to expand, both nationally and internationally.

About the role

As an automation engineer with us in Gothenburg, you will work closely with experienced colleagues in assignments aimed at the food industry. Together we help our customers develop, streamline and optimize their operations.

We work in project form, where each assignment is based on the customer's specific needs and conditions - which makes each project unique. Therefore, we would like you to be flexible, adaptable and enjoy new challenges.

Examples of tasks:

• PLC programming
• System design and technical solutions
• Quotation work
• Electrical design
• Project management
• Commissioning
• Service and maintenance

The work group consists of 14 people with different roles, where about half work mainly with PLC programming and half with electrical design. Most have extensive experience in the industry, and we have a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. There's a lot of expertise to draw on - and good opportunities for you to develop, from junior to highly skilled automation engineer.

Qualifications

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant education in automation and/or electrical design, or
• A strong interest in the field and, for example, work as an operating or maintenance technician and want to develop further in automation.
• B driving license
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings

We attach great importance to personal qualities. You are curious, unpretentious and sociable, with good interpersonal skills and a clear desire to deliver high-quality work. You are flexible and open to meeting the varying needs of customers.

You master Swedish and English well, both orally and in writing. You enjoy working in project form, have a positive attitude to new challenges and are happy to share your ideas and experiences. At the same time, you are self-driven, take responsibility and work in a structured way even on your own.

Travel occurs in the service, on average 20-40 days per year, both within and outside Sweden.

Advantages:

• Knowledge of Siemens Classic and/or TIA Portal
• Working experience as an operations technician with PLC
• General programming experience or great interest in programming
• Experience with electrical design tools such as ElProCAD, EPLAN or equivalent
