Job Description
The team currently consists of about ten consultants who work with processes and technology in water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as with sustainability-related issues, REACH, and environmental permitting matters. The group’s clients are in the process industry, largely in the Swedish forestry sector but also in many other industries such as mining and metals, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. The consultants primarily work on technical assessments and problem-solving related to existing facilities, REACH consortium work, and permitting matters, as well as on concept and feasibility studies regarding capacity expansions or new construction projects; These feasibility studies often lead to larger engagements in the form of follow-up studies and even implementation projects in collaboration with other process engineering colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines.

The section collaborates closely with the global AFRY network, as well as with the approximately 150 other process engineers in Sweden and with other engineering disciplines. AFRY generally handles everything from idea and concept studies to implementation projects and commissioning.
Your role will be to continue strengthening and developing the team through employee development and recruitment. Furthermore, you’ll be expected to generate new business within your area of expertise and maintain frequent and extensive client contact. Collaboration with others in the process engineering discipline—both locally and globally—as well as with other engineering disciplines is crucial.

The role is highly dynamic, and you’ll work with numerous contacts both externally and internally. You’ll be given a great deal of freedom in your role and will have the opportunity to test your own methods for achieving success—of course, with support from your immediate manager.

Team members are based in offices in Gothenburg, Karlstad, Linköping, Stockholm, Borlänge, Falun, and Härnösand. You can choose to be based in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or at one of our other major offices.
