Your role - and why it's important 

As an automation engineer, you play a key role in our projects from the first idea to a real, functioning plant. In practice it means that you get to work with: 

• Programming and configuring control systems to create efficient and smart solutions 
• Remodels and modernizations of existing facilities where you will combine analysis, problem solving and technology 
• New turnkey projects, where you take responsibility from start to finished delivery 

In the long term we would like to see you develop towards a more leading and coaching role, where you get to mentor our junior engineers and contribute to the team's competence development. Here, the role is shaped according to both our customers' needs and your own strengths and driving forces.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced automation engineer who wants to be involved in driving advanced automation solutions at AFRY. The role suits you who consider yourself to be a mid/senior and have a few years of experience in automation and a relevant education or equivalent work experience.

You are self-driven, initiative-taking and thrive in project-based teams where you take responsibility for complex projects. We value your problem-solving skills, your business approach and your ability to build good relationships. With us, you get to work closely with customers and colleagues in exciting assignments in different industries.

Requirements

• Some years of experience in automation
• Relevant education or equivalent work experience
• Experience from industries such as automotive, process industry, water & waste or energy & heat
• You are fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing
• B driving license
• Knowledge and experience of systems such as: SIMATIC PCS7, ABB 800xA

Advantageous

• Experience from Pharma/Life Science or manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of systems like: AVEVA System Platform, Siemens TIA and other DCS/PLC/SCADA systems
• Experience with legacy ABB products like AC450 and MP200 and system upgrades
