Our department within Electrical & Automation at AFRY, is today a group of 25 colleagues located in Jönköping. We work with everything from electrical design, programming, risk assessments in machine safety and project management as well as electrical inspections. With us, you are part of a team that enjoys working together. With our broad and deep expertise, we have the opportunity to help both our customers and each other succeed and develop. We are part of the Pulp & Paper Sweden business area.

As a senior automation engineer with us, you will work with automation assignments in several different industries with an emphasis on manufacturing industry and local customers. Your focus is on programming industrial control systems (PLC/HMI/SCADA) and commissioning - from feasibility study and solution proposal to verification and commissioning in both test environment and at customer site. Assignments may in some cases require security clearance, now or in the future. 

The group consists of knowledgeable and committed colleagues where experience and knowledge sharing is a strong part of the culture, with great and broad expertise to support in everyday life.We work primarily in project form and collaborate with colleagues in other geographies and technical areas. Qualifications

To succeed in this role we believe that you are motivated by working in a challenging and dynamic work environment and being solution-oriented and forward-thinking in what you take on. Having said that, we know that together we need to create the right conditions for this;which is why we also value your collaboration and communication skills as well as your initiative. 

To fit into the role with us we believe that you have: 

  • At least 5 years experience as an automation engineer. 
  • Documented experience in programming and commissioning in industrial automation. 
  • Relevant university or YH-education (alternatively equivalent experience) 
  • Good knowledge of Swedish (mother tongue level) and English in speech and writing; German is meritorious. 

It is meritorious if you have: 

  • Deep knowledge in industrial automation and/or experience of running parts of projects. 
  • Deepening in programming of industrial control systems
