Job description
The Service & Support business at AFRY in Malmö is growing, and we are now looking for an automation engineer who is interested in working with service and support of control systems. This is an exciting and varied role that involves many customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues. You will be part of a dedicated team with a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, both locally and with colleagues in other regions and technology areas.
We have an established customer base that includes several large companies and government agencies in the industry. The position offers good development opportunities, and you will receive regular training on our customers' systems to ensure you always have the latest skills.
As part of our support team, you will be involved in managing 24/7 support all year round. Each colleague has approximately ten support weeks per year. Your main tasks will include troubleshooting PLC control systems, following up on support cases, customer contact and proposing improvement solutions. You will also be responsible for planning and executing system maintenance and annual system reviews.
Our team consists of people with different backgrounds and experiences, and we work closely together to solve customers' challenges. We value collaboration and support each other to find the best solutions.
Qualifications

In addition to these personal competencies, we are looking for you who have:
- A few years of experience in programming within PLC in industry.
- Driving license (B) as travel is part of the work.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have knowledge of control systems such as ABB 800xA, ABB Freelance, Siemens SIMATIC, Siemens SICAM, Mitsubishi, Zenon SCADA and previous experience as an industrial electrician or service technician.
The assignments for this service will mainly be in security-classified roles and are covered by defense secrecy. Swedish citizenship and an approved security clearance are therefore a requirement for employment.
Additional information
We collaborate a lot with colleagues so the natural starting point is in the office in Malmö, at the same time there is flexibility to work remotely if needed. Shorter trips and work at our customers with troubleshooting and smaller projects are also part of the service. The team currently consists of two colleagues who work closely together, while we are part of a larger market area where we collaborate with several sections around the country. In total, we are about 38 nice colleagues in Malmö.
