We are now looking for a committed and driven Automation Engineer within DCS. As a DCS Automation Engineer, you will be a key player in the development, commissioning and maintenance of distributed control systems (DCS) in a high-tech and GMP-regulated production environment in Life Science. The role also involves travel in the service.

Your tasks:

  • Configure, program and optimize DCS systems for stable and efficient operation.
  • Participate in projects from design and construction to commissioning and validation.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of control systems and process equipment.
  • Integrate DCS with PLC, SCADA and/or MES systems.
  • Ensure that automation solutions meet GMP, GAMP 5 and regulatory requirements.
  • Involve in technical discussions, design phases, FAT/SAT, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation.
  • Contribute to improvement projects and implementation of new technologies.

Technology and systems you will work with:

  • Siemens PCS 7, ABB 800xA, Emerson DeltaV or similar DCS platforms
  • Batch control and recipe systems
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment (e.g. mixers, reactors, fillers, etc. mixers, reactors, filling lines)
  • Industrial networks and communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, OPC)

 

Examples of systems and equipment you will work with

  • Siemens PCS 7, ABB 800xA, Emerson DeltaV or similar DCS platforms
  • Batch control and recipe systems
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment (e.g. mixers, reactors, filling lines).mixers, reactors, filling lines)
  • Industrial networks and communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, OPC)

 

 

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation in the process industry
  • Documented experience of DCS configuration, programming and commissioning
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing

Meriterande:

  • Technical education at college/university level in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent
  • Experience in integration between DCS and PLC/SCADA/MES
  • Experience in batch control and recipe systems
  • Experience in GMP and validation work
  • Experience from Life Science, pharmaceutical industry, food industry, healthcare, nuclear or other regulated industry
