Job description

We at AFRY Advanced Automation are specialists in industrial automation and are now looking for more employees for our growing venture in Stockholm. With us, you will work with technology-intensive and exciting assignments where we deliver customized automation solutions to customers in both the private and public sectors.

As an Automation Engineer, you will have a key role in all phases of the project - from idea to commissioning. You will work closely with our customers to design and implement solutions that meet their needs and requirements. Assignments vary from minor programming changes and system upgrades to new construction of entire factories and plants.

You will work with:

• Programming in DCS, PLC and SCADA
• Methodical troubleshooting and technical problem solving
• Documentation and quality assurance
• Technical advice and customer dialog

Deliveries are made both as expert services and as complete functional or total commitments. The work is carried out partly at local customers and partly in our in-house projects at the offices.

Example of current project

Right now we are in the middle of an extensive rebuilding project where we develop a treatment plant in Stockholm into one of the world's most modern. The project includes a new treatment plant with membrane technology to increase capacity and meet increased environmental requirements. AFRY is responsible for all electrical design and automation, and today around 25 people work on the internal project from our offices in Stockholm.

The project is now entering a new phase, and we are therefore looking for a senior automation engineer based in Solna or Södertälje to strengthen the team.

• Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in design projects of new process plants.
• Many years of experience as an automation engineer and good knowledge of working in Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7 is highly meritorious.Experience of other DCS/PLC/SCADA is also relevant and interesting for the position. 
• Have a B-driving license as traveling in periods is a natural part of your role. 
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
