Job Description
Would you like to work with automation in a variety of industrial projects where technology, innovation, and development take center stage? AFRY continues to grow in northern Sweden and is now looking for more automation engineers who want to help shape the industrial solutions of the future.
Your Role
As an automation engineer with us, you’ll play a key role in our clients’ projects—from smaller assignments to larger, complex deliverables.
You’ll work closely with both clients and colleagues, where your expertise, your ambitions, and the needs of the projects will guide your development with us.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying functionality and technical solutions in automation systems
- Programming and further developing control systems (PLC/DCS)
- Testing, verify, and quality-assure software
- Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting
- Work on both independent assignments and within larger multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who
- Has a technical degree (vocational college/university) or equivalent experience
- Have experience with PLC and/or DCS programming
- Have worked with systems from, for example, ABB, Siemens, or similar
- Have an understanding of industrial processes and components
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Is a team player who is happy to share their knowledge
- Has a good command of Swedish and English
- Holds a Class B driver’s license
