The Electrical, Automation & Industrial IT section in the Life Science business area is now looking for a Automation engineer in PLC / SCADA  who wants to join and develop in automation in an environment where technology, quality and safety are central parts of the business?

About the role

As an Automation Engineer within Rockwell/Allen Bradley, you will be a key member of our automation and production team. You will be responsible for developing, commissioning and maintaining PLC based control systems in a modern and GMP regulated Life Science production environment where travel may occur.

 

You will:

  • Develop and improve graphical interfaces (HMI/SCADA)
  • Implement and modify PLC functions
  • Work with technical platforms with a focus on Allen Bradley/Rockwell in different generations
  • Ensure that all automation solutions meet GMP, GAMP 5 and regulatory requirements.

 

Examples of systems and equipment you will work with

  • Communication solutions: EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus
  • Safety PLC and machine safety systems
  • Process equipment for pharmaceutical manufacturing (e.g. reactors and filling lines etc.)

 

 

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Documented at least 3 years of experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems and Studio 5000
  • Experience in the process industry, preferably pharmaceutical or other regulated industry
  • Good knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networks
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English (spoken and written)

 

Additional qualifications:

  • Technical education at college/university level in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent experience 
  • Experience in integration between PLC and SCADA/DCS/MES
  • Experience in advanced troubleshooting and optimization of control systems
  • Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements
