Job description

The Electrical, Automation & Industrial IT section within the Life Science business area is now looking for a Technical Project Manager in Automation who wants to lead and drive automation projects in a high-tech and GMP-regulated production environment. The role combines deep technical understanding of both PLC and DCS systems with the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality. Travel may be required.

Your tasks

As Automation Technical Project Manager you will:

  • Lead automation projects from feasibility study and design to commissioning, validation and handover to the operating organization.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules and budget in close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Drive improvement initiatives and implement new technologies to optimize production and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all solutions meet GMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support automation engineers in the team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Technical education at college/university level in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation, of which at least 2 years in a leading role in the process industry.
  • Experience in leading projects in regulated industry and knowledge of GMP
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English (speech and writing).

Additional:

  • Knowledge of validation work (IQ/OQ/PQ) and change control (CC) in GMP environment.
  • Experience of integration between automation systems and higher-level IT systems.
  • Experience in Life Science, Pharmaceutical, Food, Healthcare, Energy or other regulated industry.
