Job Description

We’re looking for a recent engineering graduate who wants to work as a bridge inspector.

As a bridge inspector with us, you’ll work in a team of 2–3 colleagues, and your primary responsibilities will include inspections and condition assessments of existing bridges. In the role of bridge inspector, you’ll also serve in an advisory capacity for action planning and work closely with other teams within the bridge operations department, particularly the maintenance team.

During the winter, the volume of inspection assignments may decrease, and in addition to planning upcoming inspections, you will also work on CAD design for new bridge construction or the maintenance and repair of existing bridges.

Qualifications

We are looking for a recent B.Sc. graduate.

You do not need to have taken any specific courses in bridge inspection—you’ll learn that part on the job—but it’s advantageous if you’ve taken courses in concrete, steel, structural engineering, and design.

At AFRY, we see ourselves as bold and dedicated team players, and we hope you can identify with that as well. To thrive in this consulting role, you’re sociable, proactive, and responsible. Of course, you’re curious and eager to develop your skills in your technical field.

We also expect you to be able to express yourself well, both verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.

A Class B driver’s license is a plus.

Travel, often on a weekly basis, is a natural part of the job. The bridges you’ll be inspecting in this role are located throughout Sweden.

We look forward to receiving your application! Please attach your resume and transcripts.
