Our building conservators and archaeologists work with cultural environment issues as part of AFRY's efforts to create a long-term sustainable society where we take care of both the earth's resources and each other. We are now looking for another colleague for the cultural environment technical area.

Welcome to apply for an exciting job as a senior building archaeologist with us at AFRY in the Southwest segment. Together with your cultural environment colleagues, your task will be to carry out antiquarian assignments of varying nature. Your main tasks will be to carry out cultural environment investigations in both large and small assignments and to handle care and maintenance plans and impact assessments for EIA. Your assignments will mainly cover western and southern Sweden, but assignments throughout Sweden may occur. Travel within the country may occur.

You have worked with cultural heritage issues for several years and have your own cultural heritage network. We expect you to be open to developing your skills as the subject evolves. We see that you are businesslike in the consulting role and have the ability to both create new business as well as maintain previous customer relationships.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a university degree with a building antiquarian focus or the equivalent
  • Is certified, or is authorized to apply for certification, as an expert in cultural values (KUL 2, level complicated).
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with cultural environment issues in connection with the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience that essentially involves the cultural history valuation of buildings and should include at least two major or ten minor projects.
  • Good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act, the Environmental Code and the Cultural Environment Act
  • Have a B driving license.
  • Fluent in Swedish in speech and writing

We also see it as a merit if you have:

  • Have experience of working with GIS
  • Have experience of working with cultural environment issues at the authority level, for example as an administrator at the county administrative board or municipality.
  • Experience of working as a consultant
