Job description
We are growing - and are now looking for a calculation engineer within durability & strength to join our Trollhätteteam!
With us, you will work with exciting and technically challenging calculation assignments - both for Swedish and global clients. We are a team with deep expertise in advanced FEM analysis and work broadly in CAE areas such as durability, NVH and safety.
In some projects we follow the customer's processes. In others, we are trusted to develop completely new methods and working methods, which makes everyday life both varied and developing.
The role
We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in durability and strength calculations, preferably from the automotive industry.
As a calculation engineer with us:
- You run projects where we have overall responsibility for analysis deliveries.
- You work close to the customer - sometimes on site, often in a hybrid solution.
- You get to work with all parts of vehicles, but also assignments in the defense industry.
- You become part of a team with strong cohesion and high technical competence.
The work is varied, varied and offers great opportunities to both deepen and broaden your technical skills.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a MSc with a focus on structural mechanics and who have experience of FEM calculations, preferably from the automotive industry. You are used to working in tools such as ANSA and OptiStruct/Nastran, and if you also have knowledge of Abaqus, we see it as a big plus.
We would like you to have a connection to Trollhättan or the surrounding area, and that you want to build on your career here in the longer term. Driving license is an advantage as some customer assignments may require travel.
Your background and personal qualities
- You have a few years of experience in the field and are used to working independently.
- You are communicative and have an ability to build strong>strong, professional relationships - both internally and externally.
- You thrive in teams and enjoy collaborating to achieve the best results.
- You are curious, committed and can quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies, domains and working methods.
- You represent AFRY in a confident and professional manner and welcome new types of assignments.
- You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing, and can present analytical results in a clear and educational way.
