Job description

At Hydro Nordics, we are today 120 employees who together drive the development of hydropower - from dams and dam safety to geotechnics, hydromechanics, hydraulics, environment and power stations. We work in both national and international projects and are in an exciting and expansive phase as a growing Nordic player.

In this role, you will work in the middle of the technology with electrical and control adaptation. You may work with new and/or customization construction against existing equipment in hydropower plants. We also work in early stages and this includes work with feasibility studies and calculations. You will also prepare technical descriptions and inquiry documents for customers and clients. In the long term, we see that there may also be an opportunity to work with assignment management or as a sub-project manager."

The team currently consists of 24 dedicated project managers, specialists and designers in electrical control, automation, turbine technology. We work on socially important and complex hydropower projects and offer challenging work tasks. At Hydro, we work across disciplines and with our combined expertise we can offer solutions with a unique breadth and quality to projects of varying size and scope. Projects are generally run from the office or home office and travel is part of the role. As we operate throughout the Nordic region, the project team is largely led remotely.

Qualifications

So what skills and experience do you need?

• Post-secondary education
• Several years of experience in electrical design in construction / industry, where you have worked in project form and been involved all the way from start to finish
• Experience with design tools such as Elmaster, ElproCAD or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

• Hydropower industry
• Work as an electrician/industrial electrician 
• To perform technical specifications/descriptions in administrative tools such as EL-AMA
• Contract inspection/operational inspection
• Work with RFG
• Work with relay protection
