Job description
AFRY Hydro Sweden, with approximately 110 employees, has for a long time worked on the basis of a clear and well-developed strategy for the National Hydropower Review Plan (NAP). We have adapted a large part of our business operations within Hydro Sweden to meet the requirements and opportunities that the NAP entails. Among other things, we have gathered specific environmental expertise for hydropower under Hydro, in order to be able to interact in the best possible way between the relevant technology areas. This includes everything from overall strategy to the practical implementation of reviews, especially of large-scale hydropower.
We are proud to be the driving force in several of the most strategically important reviews in Sweden, and of our close cooperation with our customers. Our size, collective expertise and interdisciplinary approach mean that we can offer solutions with a breadth and quality that are unique in the industry.
We continue to grow and are now looking for more employees who want to be involved in influencing the development of future hydropower. We are looking for you with a solid interest in hydropower, and who want to develop in the areas of environment, hydraulics and/or hydraulic engineering. The tasks will be adapted based on your experience and focus.
With us, you will work on socially important and complex projects in close collaboration with other experienced specialists. As we operate throughout the country, the location of the service is flexible.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we see that you have a great interest in hydropower and NAP processes and that you are driven to deepen your knowledge in the field. We see it as meritorious if you have
For you with environmental background, we see it as a merit if you have good knowledge of ecological values in aquatic environments, preferably at a research level. As well as experience of practical action work in limnic water environments and / or experience of environmental assessments.
If you have a background in hydraulics, we see it as meritorious if you have knowledge of dam safety work (RIDAS), good understanding of flow dynamics in watercourses and regulated systems and experience of modeling.
Knowledge of dam safety work (RIDAS) is also advantageous for those with engineering background, as well as experience in assessing technical consequences of environmental requirements and proposing cost-effective solutions, and/or knowledge of turbines, control systems and technical solutions for environmental adaptation.
Since our services may operate in security classified areas, drug testing and security clearance may be required before employment can commence.
