To strengthen our presence in the north, we need to expand our operations with more electrical power design engineers and project managersWould you like to work with medium-voltage installations in a high-tech industrial environment?

We’re looking for an electrical power design engineer with experience and an interest in medium-voltage systems in industrial environments. As a design engineer, you’ll be a key member of our TEAM and play a vital role in our customers’ investment and maintenance projects—projects where electrical power infrastructure is a critical component of operational reliability. You’ll work on technical solutions from the preliminary study through to the completed facility in an environment where electrical safety, availability, and future-proofing are the focus.

We offer interesting and challenging tasks where we help our customers create smart engineering solutions. Our projects and assignments are both local and global, giving you the opportunity to try your hand at assignments in new areas as part of teams with colleagues throughout Sweden and around the world.  Your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing electrical power solutions in the medium-voltage range (1–52 kV) for industrial internal power distribution networks
  • Sizing cabling, transformers, relay protection, switchgear, and other equipment in accordance with applicable standards and technical requirements
  • Preparing technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, material specifications, and load calculations
  • Support project managers and facility owners in procurement, cost estimation, scheduling, and installation work
  • Participate in technical feasibility studies, risk analyses, and requirements definition for new construction and renovation projects
  • Coordinate with the customer’s internal departments—such as electrical operations, maintenance, and production—to ensure technical quality and operational reliability
  • Participate in contract follow-up, installation inspections, FAT/SAT tests, and commissioning
  • Continuously improve design procedures and technical standards in the field of electrical power
  • Comply with electrical safety legislation, ESA, high-voltage regulations, and internal guidelines

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements

  • Post-secondary technical education in electrical power or equivalent (vocational college, university, or master’s degree in engineering)
  • Practical or theoretical experience in electrical power engineering design (e.g., switchgear, relay protection, substations, power cables)
  • Good understanding of medium-voltage systems (1–52 kV)
  • Experience working with CAD-based drafting systems (such as ELPROCAD, MagiCAD, EPLAN, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of standards and regulations in the field of electrical power engineering (e.g., ESA, the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority, SS-EN standards)
  • Strong written and spoken proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Class B driver’s license

Desirable experience

  • Extensive experience in electrical power engineering in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of relay protection, selective protection schemes, and short-circuit calculations
  • Experience coordinating projects with electrical contractors and installers
  • Experience working on projects alongside project managers and the maintenance department
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and documentation systems (e.g., PDM)
  • Experience with technical specifications and procurement

You are meticulous, organized, and have a strong interest in technology. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a project team, and you prioritize safety and quality in all aspects of your work. This role is a good fit for you if you have experience,  the ability to collaborate, and a willingness to share your knowledge to help the team grow.
