Job description

We are now looking for a Design Manager in interior for the automotive industry who wants to be involved in running some of our most challenging and exciting projects - either at AFRY's office in Lindholmen or directly at our customers.

In the role, you work both operationally and managerially with the development of interior components, mainly injection molded plastic items. You lead and coordinate the design work for entire interior systems such as instrument panel, tunnel console, carpets, trim panels, interior ceilings and related subsystems.

You are responsible for ensuring a high technical level in the deliveries and for the team working in a structured and efficient manner. For us, success in the role means not only that the customer is satisfied - but also that you develop, thrive and feel that you can influence both technology and working methods.

In the long term, there are good opportunities to immerse yourself further in an advanced technical role or to take a more general role with elements of, for example, sales and quotation work

Qualifications

We believe that you have a college or university education of at least three years in a relevant technical field.

In order to best succeed in the role, we also see that you have:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a designer or design manager in automotive interiors
• Strong competence in the design of injection molded plastic articles
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new technical challenges and project environments
• Central function in the technical dialogue, driving your own design work and acting as an important support in developing the team and the final product.

It is also an advantage if you have experience with Catia V5 and Teamcenter. For this position, it is a requirement that you master both Swedish and English in speech and writing, as our assignments often include contact with Swedish customers. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means that you need to hold a citizenship from a nation affiliated with NATO.
