Do you want to lead and develop a national business where business value, environmental responsibility and societal development go hand in hand?

We are now looking for a Director and Head of Road & Rail Sweden Environment with overall responsibility for approximately 230 employees throughout Sweden. In the role, you have overall strategic responsibility for management, business and development in the environmental and sustainability area. You lead through other managers and have a central role in strengthening and further developing AFRY's position as a leading advisor in sustainable societal development.
AFRY's environmental and sustainability services help clients in the public sector, industry and energy to meet increasing demands for resource efficiency, environmental responsibility and climate change. Our expertise spans environmental impact assessments, permitting processes, sustainability strategies, climate and life cycle assessments, EHS as well as land and nature issues and circular economy.
In the role, you are responsible for leading and developing employees across Sweden by creating commitment, building trust and establishing a culture where competence, collaboration and continuous development are at the center. You drive the business by creating and managing long-term customer relationships and ensuring sustainable profitability in a qualified consulting business. At the same time, you set a clear direction for quality and sustainability by strengthening working methods, collaboration and the organization's overall delivery capacity in the environmental and sustainability area.
You are preferably based in one of our larger offices.
Qualifications
You are an experienced and confident leader with a background in urban planning, environmental and sustainability issues, for example as a consultant, client or in other relevant activities. You are used to leading through other managers and have a good understanding of how to develop a business, value-driven and knowledge-intensive organization.
You are strategic and business-driven with the ability to see the big picture and drive long-term development. You work closely with customers and are skilled at building strong, trusting relationships at management level. At the same time, you are an engaging and inclusive leader who stands for clear, modern leadership where people and collaboration are in focus.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
