Job description

AFRY has a solid history in the energy industry and in the Energy Division we focus on offering our clients all services within the production and distribution of energy. In Sweden, we are about 600 dedicated employees in the energy field and we aim to become even more. Our Transmission & Distribution business unit has a vision to create grid solutions for a sustainable future. Today we are about 180 consultants with high specialist competence in all parts of the electric power industry and together we help each other and our customers to succeed and develop. The tasks include contract inspections and/or electrical audit inspections at our customers where you inspect electrical installations.  You identify deviations, deficiencies and possible risks in the contract or installation and assess its status and function based on the completed inspection, which you document and compile in a clear inspection report. Depending on your skills and experience, there is the opportunity to work part of the time in other electric power related areas such as risk analysis, feasibility studies and investigations regarding electric power facilities.

Our customers are located around Sweden, most in southern Sweden. You will be part of a team that today consists of knowledgeable and committed electrical power engineers who are happy to welcome more colleagues. We support both Swedish and international customers with expertise in electrical power during all phases of the project, everything from feasibility studies, projects, investigations and testing to specialist services in electrical safety, power quality, calculations and simulations. Our customers are in the electricity grid, wind power, solar power and industry as well as in charging infrastructure, energy storage, etc.

Qualifications

To succeed and thrive in the role of inspection engineer with us, we see that you are self-driven and responsible. You have a good ability to plan and structure your work and drive it forward both efficiently and carefully. You enjoy working in a customer-oriented environment with many contact surfaces, are responsive and find it easy to create good working relationships with both customers and colleagues. As protocol and report writing is an important part of the job, it is important that you communicate well and clearly, both in speech and in writing.

 What knowledge and experience do you need?

• Education in electricity/electricity at upper secondary level or higher
• Several years of experience in electrical power contracts and/or several years of experience in electrical inspections
• Good knowledge of standards and regulations in the field
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, as some documents are only available in one of the languages
• B driving license
