We are now looking for electrical designers and lead project engineers who want to contribute their expertise while continuing to grow alongside us.

Job Description

About the Role Would you like to help create sustainable solutions for the industry of the future alongside dedicated colleagues?

At AFRY, you’ll work on project planning and/or electrical design for industrial electrical systems in close collaboration with clients and colleagues from various technical fields. The role is varied and gives you the opportunity to follow projects through multiple phases, from early feasibility studies to commissioning.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Preliminary studies and preliminary design
• Project implementation
• Technical calculations and cost estimates
• Preparation of technical specifications and documentation
• Electrical design for industrial electrical installations
• Work with switchgear, motors, and drive systems
• Cable sizing
• Testing and commissioning
• Coordination and collaboration in multidisciplinary project teams
• Discipline leadership
• Both HSP and LSP

The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with other specialists, where you work together to find the best solutions for the client.

Qualifications

About You

We believe you have

• Relevant education in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, or equivalent from a vocational college, college, or university
• Experience in electrical design for industrial electrical installations
• Experience in technical design and technical documentation
• Knowledge of cable sizing
• Experience with installation and/or commissioning
• Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Class B driver’s license

It is a plus if you also have:

• experience in discipline management
• preliminary studies
• cost estimation
• multidisciplinary industrial projects.

We offer a hybrid work model, but the primary work location is at the client’s site or at our office in Karlstad.
