Job Description

As a Power Systems Engineer at AFRY, you will work on various types of projects and assignments, which will be guided by your expertise, the client’s needs, and your personal ambition and development plan. With us, you’ll have the opportunity to work on, among other things:

• Preliminary studies and investigations
• Request for Proposal (RFP) documents
• Short-circuit calculations and selective protection plans
• Design & commissioning
• Project management

There are also excellent opportunities to work in other electrical power-related areas such as relay testing, power quality measurement and analysis, and inspections.

The Electric Power section at AFRY in Gothenburg currently consists of a team of 14 employees working in a specialized group within electrical power. We manage advanced electrical power projects for our external clients, ranging from heavy petrochemical operations to automotive development and manufacturing to complex hospital facilities. We also support the various divisions within AFRY with our specialized expertise in electrical power. This means we’re present across AFRY’s entire customer base, which is incredibly exciting. What knowledge and experience do you need?

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in electrical power engineering
• Several years of work experience in electrical power engineering 
• A Class B driver’s license, as travel may be a regular part of your role.
• Very good written and spoken Swedish and English, as communication with customers and colleagues is a natural part of the job.
