Company Description

Job Description

Develop software for some of Sweden’s most critical technical systems

Working with embedded software in the defense industry is something truly special. Here, you’ll develop systems used in advanced platforms such as aircraft, ships, vehicles, and sensor-based systems—technology that must function in all situations, even when the outside world is at its most demanding. At AFRY, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle deep technical challenges while making a real contribution to Sweden’s security and societal resilience.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be involved in the entire development chain, from requirements and architecture to implementation, integration, testing, and verification. You’ll work in a team alongside electronics, systems, and test engineers, and much of the work takes place in close collaboration with hardware engineers. Here, you’ll build systems with long lifecycles, high stability requirements, and rigorously tested security standards—work where quality and caution are just as important as creativity and problem-solving.

You may work either at a client site in Stockholm or in-house at our modern offices in Solna, depending on the project and your preferences.
