Job Description
AFRY is looking for dedicated environmental consultants who want to help shape a sustainable future and contribute to the green transition. We offer a modern workplace with exciting projects and excellent opportunities for professional development. We are now looking for a colleague specializing in contaminated sites and hydrogeology, based in Uppsala or Gävle. You’ll be part of a larger organization of environmental consultants, where collaboration and team spirit are central. AFRY’s Environment & Sustainability business area operates nationwide, with offices from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north, and through close collaboration across various technical disciplines, we collectively form a strong, integrated whole. We work across a broad range of services in the field of environment and sustainability. On behalf of our clients, we handle notification and permitting matters, environmental impact assessments and reports, cultural heritage analyses and investigations in cultural environments, environmental and natural resource studies, water and air quality assessments, contaminated sites, environmental soil investigations, environmental inspections, risk assessments and remediation studies, climate calculations, and sustainability assessments. We also have several technical forums where we support each other’s professional development and share knowledge and experience. Our clients are found in the private, municipal, and government sectors. We also offer our environmental expertise to other business areas within AFRY. We are looking for an environmental consultant specializing in contaminated sites and hydrogeology. The primary focus of the role is to work alongside project managers or technical leads in the areas of contaminated sites and/or hydrogeology, in the role of project coordinator and/or field coordinator. Depending on your previous experience, you may also have the opportunity to work as a technical lead or project manager. You will work closely with our clients to identify, assess, and manage environmental risks. A business-oriented approach is essential, and you will be involved in projects from planning through implementation and reporting. We value your ability to collaborate and be flexible.
With us, you’ll become part of a skilled team with experienced colleagues both locally and nationally. Together, you’ll work to develop sustainable solutions for contaminated sites. You’ll also be expected to contribute to knowledge sharing by training and developing less experienced colleagues.
