Job Description

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of AFRY’s exciting future. Are you passionate about solving environmental challenges and contributing to the society of the future? Do you want to take the lead in technical development where the environment, sustainability, and digital solutions intersect? Then you’ll have the opportunity to do this alongside other #teamplayers in AFRY’s Environment business area.

Within the Environment business area, AFRY offers specialized consulting services in the areas of contaminated sites, as well as environment and sustainability. In Malmö, AFRY currently has a large division that handles notification and permitting matters, water and air assessments, environmental impact statements, environmental studies, environmental soil investigations, environmental inspections, risk assessments, sustainability, auditing, environmental management, and quality management. Our client base is broad and includes clients from the private, municipal, and government sectors. It is this division that we aim to further develop in Karlskrona as well. 

We are looking for an experienced environmental consultant specializing in contaminated sites. As part of our team, you will play a central role in leading projects and developing our services. Examples of areas of work include:

• Project management
• Environmental engineering site investigations
• Risk assessments
• Historical inventories and EDD
• Remediation studies
• Remediation measures and environmental monitoring

A business-oriented approach is essential, and you will work on projects from the bidding stage through implementation and reporting. We value your ability to analyze complex situations and your experience managing projects from start to finish. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues both locally and nationally in this field to help create sustainable solutions for the environment. You will also play a role in training and developing junior colleagues.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in your role as an experienced environmental consultant, we’re looking for someone who has:

• At least 3 years of experience working with contaminated sites.
• Experience in consulting and working as a project or assignment manager.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Post-secondary education, either an academic degree in natural sciences or engineering (Master’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering) degree in environmental engineering, chemistry, geology, ecosystem engineering, or equivalent fields related to the environmental sector.
• Class B driver’s license.

It is a plus, but not a requirement, if you also have experience in any of the following areas: PFAS, sediments, water quality, main studies, remediation assessments, or in-depth risk assessments.
