Job description

Would you like to do your thesis at our Systems Engineering section? We are currently 12 consultants helping our customers to develop and maintain optimized and sustainable systems and services, based on Systems Engineering methodology. Our skills and experience can be used for both commercial and socially important activities, as well as to strengthen Sweden's security and defense capabilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who plan to complete your degree project (30hp) during the spring of 2026 and who, for example, study civil engineering programs such as Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Systems in Technology and Society, IT or Industrial Economics. It is important that you are interested in (and preferably have taken a course in) the field of Systems Engineering and also have some experience in programming, web development and project processes.

The degree project in Systems Engineering is suitable for those with an interest in the following:

• Systems of Systems perspective / Systems Engineering
• Life cycle perspective through ISO 15288
• Programming and development of web applications
• Project processes
• Working in the defense field

Since a major part of the degree project is to develop and configure a web application, some experience in programming is required. Since the application can be based on ready-made software with associated documentation, you do not need to be at expert level.

Description of the work

The degree project will contain a balanced mix of project planning, systems engineering, reading, requirements gathering, analysis, programming and testing of a web application that you develop.

The web application should serve as a common area where project members can access information and documents for their specific project. It is proposed that the application is based on ready-made open-source software that you further develop and configure based on a requirements picture that you also collect in accordance with the Systems Engineering ISO 15288 process.

To support this, there will be a team of different experts, with a designated official supervisor.

We prefer that this thesis is carried out by two students, where an appropriate division into work areas is determined in consultation based on educational focus and interest. A degree project carried out by a single student can also be discussed.

If you have your own idea for a degree project, we are happy to discuss it and see if it can be suitable for our business and identified needs going forward.

Timeline

Starting by agreement, but preferably mid-January 2026 and implementation during the spring (equivalent to 30 credits). The thesis is mostly performed at our headquarters in Solna, with some possibility to work remotely.
