Do you want to develop further in computation using the latest in CFD simulations in both 3D and 1D together with several of Sweden's leading industrial companies? We are growing especially in the area of advanced chemical process simulations where you will take a natural part in delivering deep knowledge to process engineers in troubleshooting, scale-up and commissioning. In addition, we are a market-leading supplier to the automotive and energy industries. As a CFD engineer at AFRY, you will work with advanced technical calculations, with a focus on flow analysis. The projects can vary in both size and content and are carried out either in-house at our own premises or on site at our customers. Therefore, it is natural to travel within the framework of the service, which may include travel on a weekly basis for longer periods. It is meritorious if you have worked in one of the following industries: - Process, Mineral and Metallurgy, Pharmaceutical/Medical Engineering.

Qualifications

You are at least a civil engineer from the chemical engineering program or similar with three years of industrial experience in CFD simulations. Your education should be focused on in-depth modeling of chemical processes. This includes fluid mechanics, chemical reaction engineering, separation engineering and more. It is an advantage if your previous work and/or education includes in-depth CFD simulation work. An important part of the work involves setting up the necessary momentum, energy and mass balances to verify results from CFD simulations with simple calculations. You should have good knowledge of both Swedish and English in both speech and writing. As a person, you are thorough, ambitious, knowledgeable and customer-oriented. You appreciate teamwork and understand the added value of working unpretentiously and together to develop the best solution for our customers. You have an eye for detail and an ability to explain complex technical terms to people around you. You enjoy meeting people and have the ability to adapt to new environments. You are self-motivated, proactive, used to taking your own initiatives and are good at communicating and documenting.
