Job Description
We have nearly 300 employees in the region stretching from Gävle all the way up to Kiruna. We deliver tomorrow’s infrastructure solutions to our clients. We are now looking for a new Climate and Sustainability Consultant to join our Luleå office, working alongside colleagues in Piteå.
AFRY works on major infrastructure projects and strives to ensure they have as little environmental impact as possible. Your day-to-day work will focus on collaborating and coordinating measures to reduce the climate impact of various projects, as well as working with the circular economy and holistic solutions from a life-cycle perspective. AFRY also conducts development work at the national level, where you’ll be expected to serve as a regional representative in addition to your project work and to disseminate the results across the region’s projects.
Examples of job responsibilities may include:
• Life cycle assessments (LCA) and life cycle cost calculations (LCC)
• Studies
• Development work
• Mentoring junior colleagues
• Developing infrastructure solutions with a focus on sustainability
• Climate assessments and climate calculations
• Proposals for measures to reduce CO2 emissions
• Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
You will be based at our office in Luleå or Piteå.
Qualifications
You are an engineer with a specialization in climate, sustainability, the environment, or a related field, and have several years of experience in climate calculations or related technologies. We would prefer that you have experience with life cycle assessments, the circular economy, and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Additionally, experience with GIS is a plus. A Class B driver’s license is required, as well as fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
