AFRY has Nordic roots with global reach. Our common principles - Result driven, Client centric, Empowering and Accountable - guide us in how we work, develop and succeed together. Be part of accelerating the transition to a sustainable society.

Job description

Do you want to be part of shaping the sustainable society of the future? Then AFRY is the place for you!

With us, you will be part of a committed team that works broadly with community development. We are driven by creating attractive, inclusive and sustainable cities and communities. Our clients are municipalities, regions and government agencies, but also private actors.

In the role of construction and project manager in land and construction projects, you are responsible for leading, coordinating and following up our customers' projects. The role covers a wide range of tasks, such as project and construction management, site monitoring, design management and project engineering. Projects vary in both scope and complexity, making the role versatile and challenging.

As a Construction and Project Manager at AFRY, you have a lot of room for maneuver, but also significant responsibility. You will drive the project towards its overall goals, ensure that all parties are working towards the same direction and report continuously to the client and the immediate manager at AFRY.

You will be based in one of our offices in Örebro, Västerås or Uppsala.

Qualifications

We look for you to have at least 2 years of experience in construction and project management in land and construction either as a consultant, client or contractor side. In terms of education, we see that you are a university or civil engineer, or have equivalent relevant work experience that gives you the right skills for the role.

As you have a lot of contact with customers in the role, we see that you are structured and clear in your communication and are responsive to the customer's wishes and needs. You are driven to create new business opportunities for yourself and the team. In addition, you have a good ability to solve problems and good leadership skills.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing, as you will collaborate with both national and international actors. Since we work continuously with international partners, it is a merit if you have experience of managing employees in other countries.

It is a plus if you have experience of inspection or are a certified inspector, as this strengthens our ability to ensure quality and compliance with requirements in the projects.

Further information

As a consultant with us, you will never be alone in your assignment. You'll join an organization where strong teamwork, open knowledge-sharing spaces and a broad professional network are a given.

You'll have access to experienced colleagues, specialist expertise, mentorship and multiple internal networks to help you grow - both in your role and in your projects. Whether you need a sounding board, technical expertise, methodological support or just someone to discuss ideas with, the support structures are already in place.

We believe that a consultant's strength comes from the combination of personal drive and a secure base to lean on. That is why we offer:

  • Support from a dedicated team that follows you through all phases of the assignment
  • Multiple competence networks where you meet colleagues with similar focus areas
  • A culture that encourages collaboration, learning and generosity
  • Access to both local and national networks, so you can always find the right skills near you
