Job Description

Our group is part of the Project Coordination section, where Data/BIM Coordinators, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Quality Coordinators, and other project support functions work together to ensure efficient and quality-assured project management.

As a Data Coordinator at AFRY, you play a crucial role in maintaining high quality and a clear structure in our infrastructure projects. You are responsible for ensuring that the project’s digital project management is efficient, well-organized, and in line with established requirements. By working closely with project management and technical leads, you play an active role in project coordination as well as quality and delivery assurance.

The role includes:

  • Driving and implementing effective work processes to ensure that information management is consistent and structured throughout the project
  • Supporting project management and the project team by providing guidance, training, and support in document and information management
  • Coordinating and quality-assuring documents prior to delivery, and being responsible for delivering documents to the client’s project portal or document management system
  • Participate in review sessions and support project management with review procedures to ensure high-quality information throughout the project
  • Be responsible for liaising with the client’s specialist in digital project management
  • Participate in various development activities to improve and streamline our work processes

We are now looking for a driven and experienced data coordinator who wants to take an active role in our projects and ensure quality in both information management and deliverables!

For those with experience or interest, there are also opportunities to work with one of our other functions within the section.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with prior experience in data coordination. You should have a good knowledge of the design process and an understanding of the various phases of our projects, such as road or rail planning, system documentation, construction documentation, turnkey contracting, and construction contracting.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least 5 years of experience in data coordination for civil engineering and infrastructure projects from a consulting, construction, or client perspective
  • Previous experience with information and document management systems (e.g., ProjectWise and Chaos)
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation
  • Good general computer skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) projects
  • Knowledge of design and BIM/model coordination in 3D tools
  • Skills in programming, scripting, and automation

We prefer that you have an academic degree or equivalent knowledge acquired through other means, as well as strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Personal Qualities

You are a structured and dedicated person who thrives on responsibility and takes the initiative to drive the work forward. You are service-minded and have an analytical and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as an interest in digitalization and efficiency improvements. Working in a team and supporting colleagues comes naturally to you, and you are driven by creating clear and sustainable work processes. Furthermore, you are communicative and a good teacher, which allows you to convey information in a clear and inspiring way.
