Job Description
We are now seeking experienced designers, technical managers, and reviewers in the field of signaling technology for several of our offices throughout Sweden who want to take on exciting and varied railway projects with us.
AFRY’s railway organization is nationwide, with offices from north to south and east to west. Through close collaboration between our divisions, offices, and technical areas, we create a strong, cohesive team where we benefit from each other’s expertise and experience. This also means we can offer flexible work locations based on your needs and preferences.
Our projects span the entire railway process, from investigations, concept studies, and feasibility studies to railway plans, system and construction documents, management data, reviews, and inspections. These projects are often complex and are carried out in cross-disciplinary teams together with experts from other parts of AFRY. For us, this is both rewarding and one of the most enjoyable parts of the job.
Depending on your experience and the role you take on, you’ll have the opportunity to work with everything from design and review to technical coordination and consulting. As a Signal Systems Engineer, you’ll play a central role in our projects, where you’ll plan and monitor the budget and schedule, as well as coordinate work with the client and other technical disciplines. You’ll serve as a technical advisor and drive signaling-related issues forward through the various stages of the project.
Regardless of your role, you’ll have the opportunity to take on responsibility, contribute your expertise, and work alongside other specialists to find the best solutions for our clients.

We believe you have at least five years of experience in signal design or related work in signal technology, as well as a college or university degree, or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience.
You have a genuine interest in technology and feel confident taking responsibility and driving initiatives within your field. If you also have experience on the contractor side, we consider that a particular asset.
