Job Description

For many years, AFRY has successfully supported both Swedish and international energy producers, and we are now investing in further expansion in this exciting and growing market!

Nuclear Nordics focuses on nuclear power, where assignments in reactor safety, safety analyses, and technical investigations, as well as project management, are part of our daily work. We hold a unique position of trust in our market and often work in very close collaboration with our clients, who are now planning both new construction and lifetime extensions!

We are now seeking an electrical engineer for consulting assignments in the nuclear power industry, primarily in Sweden but with international opportunities as well. The locations are Gothenburg or Varberg.

As an electrical engineer with us, you will work on everything from feasibility studies, investigations, new design, retrofits, extensions, and inspections. Projects vary in both size and scope. They are carried out either on-site at our clients’ facilities or in-house at our own offices. We offer stimulating work with challenging assignments in a great team!

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent in electrical engineering and automation, and at least 3 years of qualified professional experience in electrical design within the industrial sector. You also have experience with CAD design, preferably using Elmaster or Eplan.

To succeed in this role, you must be comfortable taking responsibility for both detailed and system design. Previous experience in the nuclear power industry with a focus on plant and system knowledge is a plus.

Personal qualities are something we value highly, and to ensure you thrive in this role—and at AFRY—we expect you to identify with our core values: BRAVE, DEVOTED, TEAM PLAYERS.  In practice, this means you are flexible, driven, and committed. You have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and are both structured and analytical. Furthermore, you are a team player with a genuine interest in building relationships both internally and externally, with a customer-oriented mindset.

For this position, you must have a Class B driver’s license and be flexible, as travel is a natural part of your role. Since you will have frequent contact with both clients and colleagues, you must be able to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

As the position involves working in security-classified areas, you will undergo drug testing and security clearance checks before employment can begin.
