Job description

The energy market is in an exciting and changing time with rapidly increasing amount of weather dependent energy production, electrification of the transportation sector, energy storage resulting in an increased need for flexibility in the electricity grid. To meet the rapidly increasing demand for grid services, we are now looking for more power engineers who want to join us at AFRY to build the grid of the future!

Our section is called Future Grid Solutions and focuses on innovative energy technology in the midst of the energy transition. We support our clients with expertise in electricity grids during all phases of the project, ranging from feasibility studies, planning and investigations, in projects in electricity grid connections of wind and solar power, charging infrastructure, energy storage, etc.

In the role of an experienced electrical power engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to work in exciting projects where your assignment will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

• Investigations and feasibility studies
• Grid investigations
• Project planning
• Technical due diligences
• Grid compliance
• Energy storage in its various forms

In the role as a consultant, there is the opportunity to move in several areas. You may thus support colleagues for our entire business in the energy sector.

Qualifications

You are driven by understanding and analyzing customer needs and building long-term and trusting relationships - both with customers and colleagues. You are a team player who is happy to lift your colleagues and help create the best conditions for the whole team to succeed.

Furthermore, we see that you have

• A minimum of 7 years of work experience in electrical power
• Technical post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing as the language is frequently used at AFRY and our customers
• B-driving license as travel is a natural part of the service

We see it as a merit if you have

• Experience working with regional networks
• Civil engineering degree/master's degree 
• Experience as a consultant

The assignments for this position may involve placement in security classified areas, which means that security checks may be required.
