Job Description

In our Electrical Power division, we work in a specialized team focused on electrical power. With us, you’ll be part of a team that works from the concept stage through to project completion and the final industrial facility. We work together, enjoy learning from one another, and come up with fun ideas.

We manage advanced electrical power projects for our external clients, ranging from heavy petrochemical operations to automotive development and manufacturing to complex hospital facilities. We also support the various divisions within AFRY with our specialized expertise in electrical power. This means we’re present across AFRY’s entire customer base, which is incredibly exciting.

As an Electrical Power Engineer, you’ll play a key role in our organization and our electrical power projects. You will work with our clients throughout the region, as well as be part of projects managed in-house. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to work on:

• Preparing request for proposal documents for low- and medium-voltage substations.
• Investigations and feasibility studies.
• Technical consulting.
• Grid calculations and selective protection plans.

You will also have the opportunity to serve as a project manager, which entails independent responsibility for clients and budgets within projects. There are also excellent opportunities to work in other electrical power-related areas such as relay testing, power quality measurement and analysis, and inspections.

What knowledge and experience do you need?

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in electrical power engineering
• Several years of professional experience in electrical power engineering, preferably with prior experience as a design engineer or project manager.
• Class B driver’s license.
• Very good spoken and written proficiency in Swedish and English, as communication with customers and colleagues is a natural part of the job.
•  Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as this is required when communicating with both customers and colleagues.

Desirable

• Experience with construction law, AMA, and AutoCAD, as well as familiarity with technical documentation and report writing.
• Experience working with the Febdok calculation program or other network calculation programs
• Practical experience working as a service/industrial electrician
