Job description
We are looking for cultural environment consultants for one of our offices in Uppsala, Gävle, Falun, Ludvika, Sundsvall, Östersund, Örnsköldsvik, Umeå, Skellefteå, Luleå, Gällivare or Kiruna.
In the Environment business area, we work broadly in the environmental service area, which includes cultural environment. On behalf of our customers, we work with notification and permit cases, environmental impact assessments and descriptions, cultural heritage analyzes and investigations in the cultural environment, environmental and nature investigations, water and air investigations, contaminated areas, environmental soil surveys, environmental controls, risk assessments and action investigations. Our clients are in the private, municipal and government sectors. We also offer our environmental expertise to other business areas within AFRY.
We are now looking for experienced consultants with a focus on cultural environment who can carry out cultural heritage analyses, cultural environment investigations (archaeology, buildings, cultural landscapes, cultural geography, etc.) and be a support regarding cultural environment in permit cases and other assignments where cultural environment values are at risk of being affected. The service includes both work in the office and in the field, which means varying degrees of business travel.
As a cultural environment consultant at AFRY, your assignments will vary and can involve everything from infrastructure projects in the energy sector in the form of wind and solar power, roads and railways, community planning and land development, landfills, mines, industries and various water activities. You will have the opportunity to participate in various assignments at local, regional and national level. We allow you to take on a great deal of responsibility and you are welcome to take on the role of project manager and have customer contacts. As an experienced consultant, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of our service offering together with other cultural environment consultants.
Qualifications

We attach great importance to your personal qualities, as we value commitment and the ability to collaborate with others. You need to have a relevant university or college degree and have experience of having worked with cultural environment investigations, and assessment of cultural environments according to relevant legislation (KML, MB, PBL). If you have also worked as a consultant with assignment management and/or project management and have good knowledge of GIS, we see it as an additional merit.
You need to have good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing as our customers are mainly located in Sweden. As we collaborate internationally with the rest of AFRY, it is also desirable to have a good knowledge of English.
The position requires a B driving license.
