Job description

We are looking for an experienced systems engineer to develop advanced system solutions at our customer in the defense industry. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a central role in transforming customer needs into technically advanced systems. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and the customer to ensure that the customer's solutions meet high standards of quality and functionality. On site at the customer, you will focus on subsystems that include embedded system components (hardware with software), as well as elements of mechanical design. You will focus on areas such as system requirements specification, system integration and validation plans for these subsystems. You will be part of a team with members from different departments within AFRY, working cross-functionally where each member contributes with their unique perspective.

Together, the team works to develop solutions that meet the end-customer's requirements.

Location: The assignment will initially be on site at the customer in Karlskoga at least 3 days per week but will gradually transition to more remote work from AFRY's office in Karlstad according to a hybrid model.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need

- Experience in system work within integrated mechatronic systems

- Experience in product development within the defense and/or automotive industry

- Knowledge of relevant standards in the above areas (e.g.e.g. ISO 15288)

- Fluency in Swedish and English, both oral and written

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in teams

Swedish citizenship is required, and a background check will be conducted.

 

Example of tasks

- Analyze and understand customer needs

- Contribute with a holistic perspective to be able to break down high-level technical requirements into something that can be realized in hardware or software

- Manage requirements and document technical specifications to guide the development process

- Analyzing system requirements and designing subsystems

- Collaborating with suppliers and customers

- Planning and managing verification tests

- Responsibility for system integration To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Experience of systems work in integrated mechatronic systems

- Experience in product development in the defense and/or automotive industry

- Familiarity with relevant standards in the above areas (e.g.e.g. ISO 15288)

- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both oral and written

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in teams

 

It is advantageous to have experience in system safety in integrated mechatronic systems.
