Job Description
As part of our focus on the Water Market Area, we are now seeking additional experienced water and wastewater engineers for Networks and Strategy, which geographically covers Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. The position involves working on projects within the water and wastewater pipeline systems sector, which also includes pumping stations and other distribution facilities. In the role of water and wastewater engineer, you will work on preliminary studies, system documentation, detailed design, preparation of construction documents, and support during the construction phase. There is also the opportunity to develop your skills in strategic water and wastewater assignments, such as stormwater studies, water and wastewater plans/strategies, water and wastewater rates, and legal matters. Your specific responsibilities will depend on your experience and the areas in which you wish to develop.
Assignments will be located locally and regionally, and you will collaborate nationally with other consultants at AFRY.Our clients include private, municipal, and government entities.
In this role, you will work on projects throughout the country, and travel is required.
You will be based at one of our offices in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Dalarna, or Gävleborg. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.
Qualifications
As a person, you are curious and interested in your field of technology, and you are energetic and driven. You find it easy to understand and participate in technical discussions and thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by strong growth.
We are looking for candidates who have at least 6 years of work experience as a design engineer in the described water and wastewater field and who can lead less experienced design engineers in assignments as a technical lead.
We place great importance on your personal qualities and value commitment and the ability to collaborate with others.
In terms of education, we expect you to have a relevant degree or to have acquired equivalent skills through industry experience as a consultant, contractor, or in municipal water and wastewater operations.
