Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to join AFRY and work primarily with our clients in the defense industry. The need for expertise in FPGA is growing, and we need to expand our team. 

Our clients are global players in high-tech defense and security operations, active in air, land, and naval defense, civil security, and commercial aviation technology. They offer their clients effective solutions for surveillance, security, and decision support, as well as for threat detection and protection. Technologically, they are leaders in many areas and develop products and systems to deliver military capabilities, protect national security, and safeguard critical information and infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, it is important to be able to work in a structured manner and follow formal processes, as the development work is often security-critical. Regarding the development itself, you will primarily work on the design and, potentially, the verification of FPGAs. You are a key part of the development of the client’s future products. In this role, you will also be involved in other aspects of the development process, such as system engineering, requirements management, testing, and delivery.

Since this position involves work subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and pass a security clearance process that includes a background check. 

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• A solid background with more than 3+ years of experience in FPGA development and/or verification—preferably both.
• Strong knowledge of VHDL, and preferably also Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
• Experience with multi-clock domains
• Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is required.
• Swedish citizenship
• Residence in Sweden

We consider it a plus if you also have experience in:

• System design
• Test bench design
• Work in security-classified operations
• IP block configuration and verification
• Backend work involving timing and optimization, Place & Route
• Experience with sampling and high-speed boundary conditions
• UVM or other test frameworks and test methodologies
• Lab experience
