Job Description

Are you an ordinary or extraordinary back-end developer who wants to have fun at work, collaborate with others, contribute your expertise, have a supportive manager, and be part of a truly wonderful team in Uppsala? Great, because that’s exactly what we can offer you!

In your role as a consultant, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end components in various projects. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team—for example, by taking responsibility for the entire back-end portion of a project, either on your own or together with colleagues.

We manage both small and large projects from our Uppsala office and have clients across a variety of industries, such as the public sector and critical infrastructure. Your day-to-day work will vary depending on the project, client, and assignment—and I think you’ll find that variety exciting! 

At our Uppsala office, there are about 50 people working in IT and digitalization—meaning plenty of both junior and senior colleagues to turn to for help.

Qualifications

Your technical skills are, of course, important, but what you bring to the table as a person is just as important. In this role, for example, you need to enjoy collaborating in a team and giving and receiving feedback; find it interesting when circumstances change (e.g., when you need to learn a new technology or take on new tasks, switch clients, teams, or projects, etc.); be motivated by helping others (e.g., suggesting a technical change that benefits the client), and not hesitate to ask for help yourself if you get stuck. 

To qualify for this role, we believe you:

• Have at least 3 years of experience with C#/.NET development
• Have experience working with REST APIs
• Have experience with Azure and knowledge of DevOps and its processes
• Have experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Preferred:

• Experience with WPF
• Experience with container technology (Podman, Kubernetes)
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD)
• Experience with GIS

In addition, you are a Swedish citizen* and are fluent in spoken and written Swedish, as Swedish is required when communicating with colleagues and customers. It’s an added bonus if you have previous experience working as a consultant!

*For certain assignments with government agencies, regions, or municipalities, Swedish citizenship and a cleared security clearance are required.
