Functional Safety Engineer - contributing to a safer and more sustainable future on the road

Are you curious about how the vehicles of the future can be both smarter and safer? We are now looking for a Functional Safety Engineer who wants to be involved in developing advanced control systems and solutions for autonomous driving - with people and safety at the center.

A role where you make a difference

As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will play an important role in shaping how we work with functional safety in our systems. You will be involved in leading the safety work in both driver support systems and control systems for autonomous driving - focusing on both longitudinal and lateral control. The work is done according to ISO 26262, where you contribute with structure, analysis and documentation to ensure that our solutions meet high demands on safety and quality.

You will work with methods such as HARA and fault tree analysis, develop safety concepts and requirements, and be an important knowledge carrier in the team. Part of the assignment is also about supporting colleagues, sharing your expertise and contributing to a learning culture where we grow together.

We believe that you thrive in an environment where collaboration, care and technical curiosity go hand in hand. If you also have experience in software development, testing and debugging - preferably in Python or Simulink - as well as experience working in test environments such as HIL rigs or directly in vehicles, you will feel at home with us.

Qualifications

We would like you to have:

• An engineering degree in, for example, electronics, computer technology, embedded systems or robotics
• Knowledge or certification in functional safety
• Good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English

It is also valuable if you have experience of:

• Engineering and embedded systems
• Programming in C, C++, Python or bash
• Tools like CANalyzer, Canoe, Matlab and Simulink
• Code standards like MISRA and code quality tools
• Communication protocols like automotive ethernet, CAN, CAN FD and LIN
• Working with ISO 26262 throughout the development cycle, including ASIL C and D
