Job description
Together we face major societal challenges where energy issues play a central role. AFRY Future Energy Program is for you who are a newly graduated engineer and want to contribute to the energy transition. The program introduces you to the energy industry, gives you a secure start in the consulting role and allows you to work in real customer projects in parallel with a training program in the energy field. At the same time, you build a valuable network within AFRY and develop your expertise. The program provides a broad introduction to the energy field and the consultant role through lectures on electricity and energy systems, renewable energy, project models and environmental/permitting processes.
At AFRY Transmission & Distribution (T&D), we work on developing the electricity grid of the future - from feasibility studies and designs to project management, analyses and system studies. Our assignments include stations, substations, power lines, permitting processes, grid infrastructure and much more.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who want to work in one of our areas of expertise (see above). You are at the beginning of your career and are attracted by the energy industry as well as the consulting role. Since we work so broadly in the field of electric power, the educational background can be with a focus on, for example, electric power, electrical engineering, mechanics, machinery, technical physics, energy systems or the environment. Your education is at university, civil engineering or YH level for the technical specializations, or bachelor's / master's degree for programs in environmental science or natural geography.
You need to be structured and enjoy having several focus areas at the same time. Working according to clear processes and being able to plan your work well is important for us to ensure good delivery.

For the role of consultant, it is important that you are motivated by building relationships and collaborating, as the contact surfaces are many. Supporting, communicating and sharing is a central part of our culture. You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Apply no later than February 22, 2026 and attach a transcript showing that you are enrolled in relevant education. For possible permanent employment after the program, you must be able to present a diploma from the relevant education.

Start: September 2026
Employment: Temporary employment during the program (9 months) with the possibility of permanent employment afterwards.
Recruitment process: Interviews will take place after the end of the advertising period. As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete tests to assess competencies and abilities. These tests aim to ensure that we select the most suitable candidates in a fair and objective manner, based on the specific requirements of the position.
