Job Description

At AFRY T&D Grid Integration, Substation and Distribution, you’ll help shape the power grid of the future. We’re now looking for someone who wants to combine this with a leadership role that offers professional growth.

Our assignments range from feasibility studies, planning, and design to completed facility modifications. Projects are carried out both under AFRY’s direction and as consulting support at our clients’ sites. We work on projects of varying scope, from maintenance and modifications to major reinvestments and new construction. Through our broad expertise, we create value for our clients while also helping each other grow.

We are now seeking a team leader for our Stockholm office. You will lead an established team of approximately 12–14 employees and be responsible for the team’s continued growth. The role involves close collaboration with another team leader in Stockholm, with whom you will jointly drive the business’s development.

As a team leader, you’ll be responsible for leading, developing, and recruiting employees, as well as contributing to the continued growth of the team and the department. You’ll develop existing client relationships, drive business development, and work closely with the Service/Market Area Manager, to whom you’ll report. The role involves full personnel responsibility, including salary setting, performance reviews, and employee follow-ups.

You’ll have significant opportunities to influence both the team’s development and the direction of the business. As part of the management team, you’ll collaborate with other group managers and Service Area Managers on growth, professional development, and business initiatives. Assignments are carried out at client sites, from AFRY’s offices, or in collaboration with colleagues across the country. Travel is a natural part of the role.

The role also offers the flexibility to combine leadership with your own consulting work based on your experience and ambitions.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in engineering or other relevant academic degree in electrical systems, electrical power, energy engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with power grids and/or substations
• Experience leading or developing teams as a project manager or team leader
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, as these languages are used frequently both within AFRY and with our clients.
• Class B driver’s license

Desirable:

• Experience in a consulting role

• Experience with formal managerial responsibility (responsibility for personnel, budget, and results)
• Experience in sales and business development
