Job description
AFRY's environmental organization is today national with offices from Malmö to Kiruna and through close cooperation between different technology areas, we together form a strong whole. In Sweden, we currently have more than 220 employees in the areas of expertise Environment and Sustainability.
The Environmental Planning southwest section, at AFRY Environment, currently consists of about 30 employees distributed in the offices in Gothenburg, Halmstad, Malmö and Karlskrona with specializations such as contaminated areas, cultural environment, EIA / permits, natural environment, sustainability and climate. The section currently has a group manager but we need another group manager for half the section, the group manager will report directly to the section manager.
In the role of group manager with us, you have staff responsibility for a group of about 15 people. You will have a role with great variety, the opportunity for many contacts and customer meetings with responsibility for the staff in the group's individual development and work situation. You will participate in the section's activities, including strategies, profitability, marketing, quality, personnel and skills development. You will combine your managerial role with working as a consultant, preferably as a project manager or technical specialist. Some travel occurs in the service. There is also the possibility of teleworking in consultation with the head of section.
We are looking for you who enjoy combining personnel issues with assignment work and have an eye for staff development and skills enhancement. Qualifications
We are looking for you who are passionate about team development, satisfied customers, business acumen and have a keen interest in the section's services. We are all team players and the role of group manager requires you to be responsive, curious and collaborative. We are looking for you who are passionate about seeing others develop and build sustainable teams.
For this role, we see that you have more than 8 years of experience in the environmental field and are well acquainted with the issues within our technical specializations FO, permits, EIA, nature, culture, sustainability and have good knowledge of Swedish environmental legislation. Educationally, you have an academic, scientific or technical education with a degree in the environmental field. You have previous experience as a consultant and project manager, but if you have worked on the contractor or client side, it is also of value.
You have previously demonstrated good leadership and can naturally engage and motivate. We see that you have good social skills and like to be challenged both technically and in terms of business and leadership. You have a business drive, are relationship-building and it is a great advantage if you have an established network in the industry. Of course, you see yourself as a team player and you enjoy sharing your knowledge with both customers and colleagues. For this role, we also see that you have a good command of Swedish and English and are easy to express yourself in speech and writing.
We also see that you have a B driving license and are passionate about creating good relationships with employees, partners and customers.
